Guided Bicycle Weeks (from 3 March to 12 May 2018)

Do you have a passion for cycling, do you want to train for a spring goal, discover Provence with bicycle guidance, individually, in group, sports club or company incentive. In combination with the cozy luxury of a chambre d'hôtes and fine dining, we try to unite the best of two worlds. All this in the shadow of Mont Ventoux and its beautiful hinterland with authentic villages, vineyards and fragrant lavender.
Do not hesitate any longer, you're at the right address! We offer modular formulas in time (3d / 5d / 7d), difficulty (in distance / speed / altitude) to ALL-in-formula from 375 € / week per person.
The mild climate and the enchanting environment make the area around the Mont Ventoux a challenge for every cycling enthusiast. Whether you are a trained bicycle tourist or a modal occasional cyclist, the region offers a variety of possibilities for each of you.

We offer (minimum 5 persons / prices see table):

  • Welcome drink
  • Bicycle guidance by owner or stand-in
  • à la carte formula in number of km's, level of difficulty and altimetry (see below for possible week filling)
  • Full board: extensive breakfast buffet, lunch buffet after water or energy drink, evening menu in 3 courses with water and 1 / 2l. house wine included
  • Heated swimming pool (from 1 April)
  • Enclosed bicycle garage with free use of cleaning material
  • Free laundry service for cycling clothing
  • Free WIFI
  • TV Flanders, you do not have to miss anything of the spring classics!
  • Possibility of professional massage on site (to be decided in advance)
  • Pick-up TGV Avignon with or without a bicycle
  • Retrieval airport Marseille or Nimes (to be discussed in advance)

Not included:

  • Cancellation insurance or all-risk insurance
  • Energy drinks, bicycle materials and technical information on the road
  • Bike rental (to be discussed in advance)
  • Aperitifs and drinks outside meals

Progamma and week filling can be adjusted depending on group, condition and weather conditions. A homogeneous group is always a plus. Below are two examples of how a cycling week can look like. Do not hesitate to ask for an adjustment or to personalize your stay!

Sample week 1 (trained cyclist - cycling at least 5000km per year)

Sat: arrival 14h with welcome drink + 1 hour drive off (flat)
Sun: breakfast from 8 am - ride from 80 to 100 km with 5 colletjes (eg col de Suzette and col de la Chaine)
Mon: breakfast from 8am - 80 to 100km ride over undulating terrain via wine route (including Chateauneuf du Pape, Courthezon, Jonquieres)
Tue: breakfast from 8am - drive of about 110km through Gorges de la Nesque + Ventoux from Sault to Chalet Reynard (1500m) and Bedoin / or via col de Saint Hubert (850m) via Methamis / or via col des Abeilles (1000m).
Wed: breakfast from 8 am: ride away from 2h - free afternoon
Thu: breakfast from 7.30 am: climb Mont-Ventoux from Bedoin or Malaucene (ca 100 km)
Fri: breakfast from 8 am - drive from about 80 km to Col de Murs, Gordes, Col de Terme

Sample week 2 (ocassional cyclist - cycling at least 2000km per year)

Sat: arrival 14h / 16h with welcome drink
Sun: breakfast from 8 am - drive of about 75 km just past Pernes les Fontaines, La Roque sur Pernes, Venasque, St Didier
Mon: breakfast from 8am - 70 to 80km drive over undulating terrain via wine route (eg Chateauneuf du Pape, Courthezon, Jonquieres)
Tue: breakfast from 8 am - drive from about 100 km through Gorges de la Nesque to Sault and back
Wed: breakfast from 8.30 am + free day
Thu: breakfast from 8am: ride of about 70km with 5 colletjes (Beaumes de Venise, col de Suzette, col de la Chaine, Malaucene, col de la Madeleine, Bedoin)
Fri: breakfast from 8am - around 70km from Isle sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, col de Saumane, Pernes les Fontaines

Game rules:

  • Together, together at home. Groups stay together
  • In climbing everyone drives their own pace, but above is waiting
  • We respect all traffic codes
  • Bicycle helmet mandatory
